Terms of service

Last drafted 10 July 2026. These are the terms for using Knownfor, the business platform provided by The Thirty Co. By creating a workspace you agree to them.

1. Beta service

Knownfor is in active development. Some features are early or still being built out, and the product will change — sometimes substantially — while it's in beta. Where a feature depends on something not yet configured for your workspace, we tell you plainly rather than pretending it worked, and we won't bill you for capability you don't actually have.

2. Your account and acceptable use

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for keeping your login details secure. You agree not to:

  • Use the platform to send spam, unlawful, or deceptive content to your clients or prospects.
  • Attempt to access another workspace's data, or circumvent access controls (including a client portal's access code).
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the platform without our written agreement.
  • Use the platform in a way that breaches applicable data protection, consumer, or advertising law.

We can suspend or terminate a workspace that breaches these terms, and where reasonably possible we'll tell you why.

3. Availability

We aim to keep Knownfor available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages (hosting, database, email, payments, or AI providers we depend on), and issues outside our reasonable control can all affect uptime. We don't currently offer a formal service-level agreement during beta.

4. Automations, AI features, and human gates — please read this one

Knownfor lets you build automations and, where AI is switched on for your workspace, use AI to draft content or turn a described process into a structured procedure. These are tools that assist you — they are not infallible, and they can make mistakes: misreading an instruction, drafting something off-brand, or acting on incomplete information.

That's why every automation runs in one of two modes, and it's your choice which:

  • Assisted — the automation prepares a draft (an email, a task, an action) and waits in your approvals queue for a human to review and approve or decline it before anything actually happens.
  • Automatic — the automation runs the step itself, without waiting for approval.

We strongly recommend keeping anything client-facing, financial, or hard to undo (emails to clients, invoices, contract terms) on Assisted until you've seen it operate correctly and trust the specific automation. You are responsible for reviewing what your automations do and for the consequences of anything you approve or choose to run automatically. We log every automation run and every approval decision so you can always see what happened and why.

5. Pricing and billing

Plans and pricing are shown in GBP inside the app and on our pricing page, and can change with reasonable notice. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance via our payment processor (Stripe). Downgrading or cancelling stops future billing; it doesn't retroactively refund the current billing period unless we say otherwise in a specific case.

6. Your data

You own the data you put into your workspace and the data your clients give you through it. Our Privacy policy and Data Processing Agreement set out how we handle it. If your workspace is cancelled, your data is retained and then deleted per your account's retention setting, as described in the DPA.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't lawfully be limited (for example, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with your use of Knownfor in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of £500 or the fees you paid us in that period, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as loss of profit, business, or data) arising from your use of the platform, including from automations or AI-assisted output you chose to approve or run automatically.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product develops. We'll post the updated version here with a new date; continued use of Knownfor after an update means you accept the changes. For material changes we'll try to give you reasonable notice by email.
